Daffy’s Fall Preview
The Yellow Bagger has shut down, but Acute Style will hold you down. Daffy’s has began its Fall Preview. I know it’s July, but they have some great stuff in. In particular, they have some nice fall sports coats and jackets by Jey Coleman, Xango Man (not sure about the spelling here), John Barritt, FB Class and even a few pieces from Belvest. I only focused on the sport coats and jackets. I’m not sure what’s good with pants, shirts, ties, etc.
I was eyeing a blue wool Jey Coleman sport coat for $120. It looks like denim, but has a very soft, woolly hand. It’s unstructured with patch pockets, 3/2 roll, surgeon’s cuffs, double vents, and minimal lining. They had a cheaper version for $80. I couldn’t really tell the difference.
The Belvest jacket was amazing. It was $400, marked down from about $2000. If I remember correctly it was 100% cashmere in a beautiful warm blue, completely unlined. I saw it at the Daffy’s on 18th street.
I picked up a Jey Coleman insulated sport coat for $120. Yeah, I know, I know, more than $90. More on that later.
Good luck, folks. Let me know if you pick anything up.
