Q:What's the deal with trying to match everything exactly instead of complementing colors of an outfit? The nuances of your style are becoming more and more predictable...

Anonymous

I think predictability is a defining characteristic of style.  It means a person has done an effective job relaying his/her style to the world.  When you see a garment or an outfit, you should be able to predict if that will fit into someone’s style or not.

If my style is predictable, I think it’s because I showcase it on a daily basis.  I’ve been posting WIWT shots for about two years now.  Given that much data, one should be able to deduce what I like and even the nuances of my style.  Yes, I like wearing items that are the exact same patterns.  Yes, I like wearing items that are the exact same color.  It’s my style.  For better or worse.

So, the deal is, Anon, I just like the way it looks.

Avatar Style for those who aren't right or obtuse.
