This Just In: Rugby Rowing Blazer
$25 @ Beacon’s Closet
80/20 wool/cotton, triple patch pockets, 3/2 roll, two button surgeon’s cuff, single vent, lined only in the sleeves, gold RLRC buttons. The inside pockets and vent are still stitched up.
My wife found this in the ladies section. The buttons are on the right and it fits me so I imagine it’s a man’s jacket. I doubt I can fit into a ladies small. Anyway, I love it. I wish it was made of all cotton so I could wear it in the summer. No worries though. You will see more of it this fall. Sleeves are a bit long too. I may have trouble altering them because of the surgeon’s cuffs. I’ll deal.
Note: I just got the jacket today and I just happened to have this shirt and pants on. Don’t worry. Imma hook it up.
This Just In: Herringbone Tweed Double Breasted Overcoat
$60 @ Maybe I’ll tell you later.
About 10 months ago, I came across a PRL overcoat. I was pretty happy with it given the price, but understood that it needed some work. I paid a pretty penny getting it fixed. I had the sleeves lengthened and let out, the waist let out and the shoulder taken in some. I’m ok with the end result, but the sleeves are still shorter than I would like.
I found this beauty yesterday and the fit is almost perfect. I tried it on over a few sport coats and there’s plenty of room. The sleeves could be a tad bit longer and the waist could be let out a touch, but I’m not sure that I care that much to get them fixed. There are no tags or labels other than fabric content and size: 100% pure new wool and 38. Merry Christmas to me.

$10 @ eBay
I saw this on auction on eBay for $10. I emailed the seller to ask if he would sell it to me directly. I asked him to name his price and he asked for $10. Who am I to argue with him?
