One Tie to Rule Them All Ok.  This is super practical.  Four grenadines in fall colors.  The brown and burgundy look pretty close in color though.  Maybe too close.  This combo is tempting.

One Tie to Rule Them All Something I’m thinking about.  Four sided, navy/tartan pairing, stripe/dot paring, 3.25” or 3.5” wide, and 59” long to support a double four-in-hand knot.  I wish the tartan was Black Watch, but It’s not available.  As a whole, it will be more than my $90 cap, but dividing by four will set things right.  We’ll see.

This Just In: Polo Ralph Lauren Four Pattern Tie

I’ve watched this tie on eBay for over a month.  No one wanted to buy it including me.  I absolutely love this idea, but the tie is only 2 1/2” wide.  That’s beyond my threshold.  Knit ties are perfect at 2 3/4”.  Anything with a triangle tip, I want 3” or more.  It’s also a bit on the short side in length.  After relisting for a 4th time, saying it was 2 3/4” wide (liar), and adding a best offer option on the listing, I scooped it up.   

Overall, I think the tie is workable.  It’s unlined so the knot is pretty weak.  I tied a double four-in-hand above.  I wonder if I can get this thing lined.  

I love this idea, but wish the tie was wider, longer and lined.  I’ll probably still take it on vacations along with my Hermes tie.  That’s 8 ties for the price of two.

Brooks Brothers BB#1 Stripe 

I’m not sure why, but I have always been enamored with this particular stripe in this particular color combination.  Brooks Brothers recently released a bunch of accessories in the stripe.  I currently own zero items in this pattern, but I hope that will change soon.  Repp that.
